The Lumber State
«штат древесины», «штат пиломатериалов». Штат Мэн, две трети территории которого покрыто хвойными лесами, является одним из центров лесной и деревообрабатывающей промышленности США. Жителей штата в шутку называют Lumberjacks, Lumbermen — «лесорубы», «дровосеки».
